attack this debt the smart way? The credit card has a pretty good fixed rate. The home equity loan is adjustable and it is creeping up steadily. So far, I’ve been paying extra on both debts. Would it make sense to pay more on one than the other?

Refinancing home mortgage worthy?

I saw a commercial last night about refinancing homes here in Florida. Is that worth doing? just asking coz both my parents lost their jobs. and now leaving on savings.( they been lay off 3 months ago) they are never late on payemtns and credit card. I am still a student and cant really find a job. Any good lawyer for refinancing here in south fl? I forgot to write the number on the commercial on TV.

I am looking into getting a reverse mortgage for my father. He lives in the Miami, Florida area. About a 2 years ago he refied and I want to know whether or not he will be qualified because of the last of equity.

Applying for a second mortgage loan…?

We are a militaty couple and are currently buying a home. We recently got orders and will be moving out of state soon. How hard is it to get approved for another mortgage loan? What other things should we consider (besides the obvious “can we afford two mortgages until the first house sells”)?

Debt consolidation with mortgage?

We have a mortgage for 146,000. Value according to mortage holders is around 205,000. We have a fixed 6.65% rate and have 26 yrs left on mortgage. Current holder could roll all of our debt into home loan and reduce our rate by .25%. Bringing our payment with escrow, insurance, taxes, etc.. from 1460.00 to 1750. Our debt includes 14,000 in student loans, 14000 in credit cards, 15,000 in vechiles as well as 10,000 on HELOC. The question is this almost taps out the entire equity in our home and we would also have a thirty year loan again. Would this be a wise move? Thanks. BTW both of our middle credit scores are mid 720. We make about 110,000 a year.
